शिवाजी महाराजांनी "मिठाई च्या पेटऱ्यातून लपून पलायन केले" ही गोष्ट कधीच पटली नव्हती, खरी वाटत नव्हती..इतिहासकारांनी ही गोष्ट पसरवलेली आहे हे समजत होते, बहुतेक ते अपुऱ्या संशोधना मुळे आणि अन्य काही राजनैतिक करणां मुळे असावे .. असो !
"आग्र्याहून सुटका" हे डॉ अजित जोशी यांचे पुस्तक वाचले आणि त्यांनी मांडलेल्या तर्कशुद्ध संशोधना मुळे इतिहासा चे हे कोडे सुटले आणि महाराजांच्या व त्यांच्या गुप्तहेर खत्या च्या कर्तुत्वा बद्दल विश्वास अधिक दृढ झाला.
पुस्तकात मांडलेले काही महत्वाचे मुद्दे :
शिवाजी महाराज वेषांतर करून सर्वांना समजायच्या आधी जवळ-जवळ २५ दिवसांपूर्वी निसटले होते व स्वराज्यात पोहोचल्या नंतर "मिठाई च्या पेट्या" ची गोष्ट (अफवा) पसरवली गेली ..अशा अनेक अफवा ही पसरवण्याचे काम जाणीवपूर्ण करण्यात आले होते.
महाराजांच्या हेर खात्यानी कित्येक महिन्यां आधी परतण्या चे मार्ग आखून ठेवले होते
- कवींद्र परमानंद यांचे महत्वपूर्ण योगदान ( गुप्त हेर )
- निराजी रावजी व त्यांचे पुत्र (संभाजी महाराजांचे समवयस्क )
- हिरोजी फर्जन्द ( महाराजांचे सावत्र भाऊ , महाराजां सारखेच दिसायचे )
- १८ ऑगस्ट ला मुघलांना समजलं असलं तरी प्रत्यक्षात महाराज २२ जुलै लाच निसटले
- "पेटऱ्यातून निसटले असतील" हा एक तर्क फक्त मुघल दरबारातील अधिकाऱ्यांनी स्वतः चं कातडं वाचवण्या साठी औरंजेबा समोर मांडलेला आहे
- गुटका खाऊन अदृश्य झाले, उडून गेले, असे अनेक तर्क दरबारी अधिकाऱ्यांनी मांडलेले होते
- नरवर घाटातील २८ जुलै ची नोंद महत्वाची

Dr Ajit Joshi is a chemical technologist and renowned historical researcher best known for his critically acclaimed book, "Agryahun Sutka" (Escape from Agra).
The Book: Originally published in 1997 (with a second edition in 2016), the book provides an authentic reconstruction of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's historic escape from Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb's captivity in Agra in 1666 AD.
Research & Methodology: Dr Joshi dedicated three years to research, citing over 103 references and using original historical documents to challenge popular myths.
New Theory: He famously argues that the traditional story of escaping in sweet baskets is historically questionable, instead presenting a theory based on logical analysis of horse speeds, communication systems, and travel lodges (sarais) of that era.
